The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.
Hey Knuckleheads,
Guess who's back, well at least for today.
Had a computer "issue" about 2 months ago and I am still on a weak laptop.
Hope all are well, nice to see that not too much has changed around here.
Haven't had the time to check all of the topics but the ones I have seem to be a little more of the same.
Things suck here in AZ, society membership is down, attitudes are up and civility as we "old timers" used to have is non existant.
And don't get me started on the political aura in this state.
Hey, I may be back more often but you never know.
Hope you all are well.
@chuckster: Heard AZ is having a hard time. My sister lives near Douglas, the highest UE in the state of AZ, jobs are tough. News tonight said that Anchorage is in the top 5 places in USA for work opportunites. Multiple surveyor job announcements out there to prove it. Good surveyor has choice of jobs, very fortunate situation considering the national situation. Professional societies will sufffer when money is tight, as membership is not an essential. Makes for a crap sandwhich for the profession. My idea is that it is an opportunity for out of work surveyors to contribute their time, and do the things the societies can never get too, while they have time available....
