5603 -tds question

I need expert 5600 help. When turning sets with autolock, I uncheck shooting the reverse distance. I am told you have to do this because the tracker is out of position to lock on the prism diode properly. I wonder if this is true if you  run the set manully rather than auto.... any comments welcome.... 

Hi Dane....when I run a traverse with autolock I also turn off the reverse distance.  The barrel is looking upside down from the diode, so the prism is not being targeted correctly.  If you do the traverse in manual mode it would be fine because you will be viewing the crosshairs on the prism, so it will gather that distance correctly.  Hope this information helps.
