In a word...YES!

Just how much remains to be seen (unless you are already "out there" of course).

NOT a day that I would like to be trying to get anything done with GPS of any flavor (Static, RTK, RTN).

As I know, large solar storms can also make gps less precise, which is mostly a problem for precision drilling & other technological innovation. There also could be GPS failures.

Even though this is one of the more powerful solar storms we have weathered in the few years, experts estimate that there will not be any serious effects, besides a sleek possibility of a very short interruption of the power grid & maybe, to GPS services. But it should not cause any long term harm to the systems.
