Make Survey Controller look like Survey Pro

I recently purchased a TSC2 data collector and was told that I could make the user screen function pretty much the same as it did in Survey Pro, but can't figure out how to do that.  I am using the TSC2 with a Trimble 5603 Station and feel that the data collection process for Survey Pro was much simpler and faster.  Plus the "Search" command seemed to be readily available without having to jump between screens.

never used survey Pro here in Europe, currently using Trimble Access.
as for the TSC2 and Survey Controller, the TSC2 has two user definable keys, (top row, between the windows and OK button)
You can attach whatever action to these to buttons: push one of the buttons and you'll have a pop up window with options 'Assign a command to App Button ...'
Mine are for the joy-stick and the auto search.
Never heard of any other customization for the screens.
