Now here is a "fair and balanced" view.

This site is so far left I almost couldn't get it to show up on my monitor. These guys are right out of Occupy Wall Street!

The LightSquared Problem?

And the answer is: (In a nutshell)

Lobby to extend the testing.

Get the Obama Administration voted out of office.

Get his replacement to appoint a Land Development Friendly FCC Czar.

Our jobs ARE “Green Jobs”. We don’t need the 20,000 phony green jobs LightSquared is promising.

And then there is the NTSB group of Administration appointees who are now recommending a total ban on cell phone and other devices in cars.(Bye bye LightSquared!) I wonder if they cleared this with Genachowski before they went on record. It seems like one left hand doesn't even know what the other left hand is doing.

It's worse than we thought. Here this writer links LightSquared to Alec Baldwin's tantrum.

Sprint has now given Lightsquared 30 days to get FCC approval or they will pull out. I seriously doubt they can do it.

The rant you linked to is not so much far left, as clueless to understanding the difference between terrestrial and satellite signals.  Lack of technical understanding/comprehension is at least as prevalent on the political right as on the left.

for those interested, Lightsquared is now threatening to sue the gov, for requiring that they prove that their conditional waiver to use satellite spectrum from ground transmission towers is a 5th amendment violation...  If you can't innovate, litigate.

Surely you jest. Look at the other stuff on that page!  Look at the headline!

Am I seeing advertisements from cell phone companies that say they are using 4G lightsquared?

Keith, buddy, I don't think you are getting it. AT&T and Verizon have 4G band they paid for and licensed. Lightsquared is good old fashioned crony capitalism. The hedge fund manager and Obamuh campaign donor got a waiver to use a band width not intended for terrestrial tower networks from the FCC Director who just happens to be another Obamuh campaign donor in a "bait and switch" scam that intrudes on the GPS spectrum.

AT&T and Verizon pose no problems for GPS. LightSquared with the usual Progressive "carrot" of "providing for the underserved" and promising 20,000 "Green" jobs is doing what "vulture" capitalists with cronies always do, profit at the expense of others.

Go back and read the whole history.

Hey MLB,

Looks like I have shown that I do not know about cell phone bandwith!

I was wondering why/how the 4G LTE could be operating if it was Lightsquared?

Anyways......

edit:  ah ha...."LTE, meaning Long Term Evolution, "

MLB,

Well, I attempted to post some comments on the Tea Baggers and found out that the term was banned and could not be used.....so I purposely misspelled it and that got me banned for good!  It became obvious that any positive sentiment on the Tea Baggers was not welcome.

A dasdardly act like that after all the stupid insults that I received from anonymous posters.

I don't need it.

Keith
