Just wanted to post that I just got 2 emails from the NCEES. They contained a link to my exam results from April (5 weeks, fast!).........I passed both the FS and PS...first try!!!! WOO_HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would settle for "a" buck at this point! I have been surveying 17 years, these last three are wearing me down. I never thought I would miss surveying the way I do. I can't wait until I find a job!
I just found out I got a 67 on the PA specific exam. Hydrology is kickin my a$$. I'm looking for a book that will help me to understand mannings equatiion and wetted perimeter and open channel flows etc. I don't use any of this stuff in the surveying I do. In almost 20 years of doing this, I've never had to compute how much water will go through a pipe at x slope blah blah. I've resigned myself to the fact that I must learn this stuff, but I'm having a hard time finding a textbook that will explain these problems in detail.
If you guys have any suggestions for a "newbie" in the hydrology world, I would appreciate it very much.
