We have always preferred the vests from Seco. I order them twice as big as me so that I get the most amount of pocket sizes and length. They are much more visible than the normal safety orange. In Lawton, our orange vests would be almost white by the end of the summer. Our high viz yellow/green has held it's color for over four years and shows no sign of fading. Your easier to pick out when working on highway work with all the orange barrels and cones.
They are not mesh and they have a huge pocket on the back, which we remove because it makes the vest hotter. It's got a huge front zipper (industrial strength) which has also lasted these years and never snags.
I give it a thumbs up.
If you do a lot of DOT work then check their regs. Our regs changed a few years ago on how many square inches you needed to comply with the rules. These seco's met that standard so no need of matching pants to get the required coverage.
The pockets all have velcro seals and these are also holding up much to our surprise. Most velcro that is heavily used tends to start loosing it's grip after many uses.
