That's an open question. My answer would be an explanation of combining your survey data and photogrammetry into a GIS with monthly updates. Use the GIS to find changes and results of your study.

Among the first to merge the three disciplines was forestry. Timber harvesting and planting have been tracked in databases for some time.  Tree diseases, especially those caused by exotic insects are carefully tracked. The first map I made that ever appeared on the TV News was the tracking and trapping of the Mexican Fruit Fly.

There are also "smart farming" techniques in use. Acreage and it crop distributions and yields are tracked in databases. Planting and fertilizing operations as well as the application of insecticides are done using GPS for more precise location in some larger farming operations. And those are frequently monitored or partnered by the Ag Departments at universities.

Some of the same dealers you find in Survey magazines have hads in agriculture periodicals.

Ya, forestry literally wrote the book on combining survey data in a GIS.

i am looking at using GIS and Remote Sensing as tools. My challenge is an appropriate agriculture feild more suitable for to subsistence farming were survey techniques can be used to collect data for research purposes.

Sorry, but your english is a little rough and I have a hard time with what your saying.

So your goal is to figure out if a peice of land is good for farming, as in "will this parcel produce enough food to feed the family that works it?"
And your tools are going to be airial photogrammetry and a GIS, right?

You got it just right, that is exactly what im supposed to do.I had to share the idea it now sounds clearer,so what survey techniques do you think are most appropriate.

Imagine a digital soil map

Imagine GPS on all farm equipment.

Imagine mapping the field every time the equipment is in the field.

Imagine tracking seed, fertilizer and other application rates.

Imagine tracking harvest rates.

What can this data tell you?

Now Google "fertilizer" "soil type" "slope" "gps"
