IMPORTING AERIALS INTO LAND DESKTOP 2009

Posted by MLS2359 SURVEYOR on Nov 30, 2011 10:45 am

Is there a way to bring in either Google Earth or Tatukgis (Image trader) aerials into LD 2009 and be able to scale with them? I know that I can bring in Google Earth as a Raster (ie. data-connect to data-raster) but you can't scale it. In the old 2005 LD I use to be able to bring it in as a JPEG and then scale it up to fit the land lines.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Not sure with LS but I know with AutoCAD I can import my drawing block into Google then save that Google image as a JPEG through paintbrush and then import that JPEG into my cad drawing. Then I use the align command in cad to scale the image with my drawing using the SW and NW corners of my drawing block as the first and second source points. Using the align command knocks out 3 aggregating commands. It automatically moves the target rotates the target and scales the target.
